Sajan Rai was born in Dhankuta, Muga on September 5. When he was 16 he went to Biratnagar with his sister. He started his formal music classes and then his struggle in the music field begun.
He has sung many famous songs, one of his famous Patriotism songs is "Nepali Nepali Hami Nepali".
