Rockheads (commonly known as Rockheads Nepal) is a prominent contemporary pop/indie alternative rock band formed in Kathmandu, Nepal. The band rose to massive national and global prominence within the modern Nepali music scene through their exceptionally polished production, anthemic melodic hooks, and emotive storytelling. The group features a tight, four-piece lineup: Sanjay Aryal handling lead vocals and bass guitar, Ridesh Pakhrin Tamang on guitars, Samyak Pakhrin Lama on drums and percussion, and Dawa Sherpa on keyboards and synthesizers. Emerging into the spotlight during the early 2020s, they have crafted a distinctive sonic identity that beautifully bridges the gap between classic Nepali rock traditions and ambient, modern alternative indie-pop.
The band's discography is anchored by monumental digital hits that have earned them tens of millions of views and streams worldwide. Their breakthrough mega-hit "Hajar Janma" (2023) and the widely acclaimed romantic ballad "Bhawana" (2024) cemented their status as household names, frequently dominating South Asian indie streaming charts. Known for their collaborative spirit, they have released celebrated tracks like "Ranga" alongside Swapnil Sharma and continue to remain a powerhouse of consistent releases, as evidenced by their 2026 single "Maya Ko Aago".
