"Samjhanchu" is a melancholic alt-rock ballad performed by the iconic Nepali rock vocalist Sabin Rai alongside his band, Sabin Rai & The Pharaoh. The track was originally released on April 13, 2019, as the fifth track on their highly acclaimed studio album, Dhanyavaad. Characterized by Rai’s signature raspy, emotionally raw vocals—which have frequently earned him nicknames like the "Bryan Adams of Nepal"—the song is built around a heavy acoustic and electric guitar framework. It shifts seamlessly from a soft, introspective verse melody into a powerful, anthemic rock chorus that highlights the tight instrumentation of band members like Nikesh KC and John Shrestha.
Lyrically, the song captures the bitter pain of heartbreak, unfulfilled expectations, and the lingering memories of a past relationship. Translating to "I Still Remember," the verses tell the story of someone unable to forget a past bond ("Hamro sambanda hijo j thyo") while trying to pick up the pieces of their life after a painful separation ("Kati namitho bichhod ho"). The narrative touches upon disillusionment, comparing lost hopes to a colorful rainbow that was heard of but never seen ("Indreni thyo saatai ranga... suneko thye kahile dekhina").
