"Lagyo Ringata" (meaning "Feeling Dizzy") is a traditional eastern Nepali cultural folk track and an implementation of Garra Lok Nritya (Garra Folk Dance). Research-collected, composed, and sung by the prominent artist Nawin Kumar Khadka, the piece stands as a masterful representation of the Purweli cultural heritage from the Arun Valley. It was officially archived and brought to audiences under the visual album Purweli Lok Nritya Haru, Part-3 in 2011 by the Arun Valley Cultural Research Center Nepal (Arun Upatyaka).
The song is structurally tied to its vibrant visual narrative, which showcases dynamic choreography performed in complete traditional attire by the performing group of the Arun Valley Center. Directed by Yadab Kumar Bhattrai and captured by cinematographer Devendra Giri 'Hurhur', the accompanying music video portrays the joyful communal spirit of eastern Nepal. Lyrically, it revolves around the phrase "Lagyo ringata, nachaula chhamchhami"—reflecting a lighthearted state of euphoria and dizziness brought upon by dancing ecstatically. The timeless folk loop has retained immense cultural relevance over the decades, experiencing a viral resurgence across social media trends and receiving various high-energy electronic dance remixes.
